When I first heard this song which they wrote together I was certain it would be a Number 1 smash hit record and it should have been. I was so terribly in love with Lari White and Travis was getting great airplay at the time so it seemed to be a can't miss. Unfortunately, it came out during a flood of other duets which was really strange. Dwight Yoakam and Patty Loveless didn't get much higher on the charts either with their duet, which I have forgotten the name of. Then You had Shania Twain and Bryan White with "From This Moment On", and all of sudden here comes Tim McGraw and Faith Hill with "It's Your Love" and yeah, Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood had a duet that passed them all up and stalled the charts for weeks and prematurely killed off allot of climbing songs. I don't even remember what that was called, but I've never forgotten "Helping Me Get Over You" and I still think it was a good as any of them.

"Stepping Stone" is literally as good as any of Shania Twain's albums and deserved that kind of sales or at the very least Mult-Platinum status. Lyric Street was too cheap to produce a video for the first single, and then let awesome songs go unreleased. The second single and first video should have been "You Can't Go Home Again Fly's on the Butter). I still believe that is a career song. Our local station WOW in Omaha had been playing it as a Hot Track off the album for months. The next single and video I would have went with the amazing "This Is Love" I still think it was a sure fire number 1 smash. Then you had the duet with Toby Keith "Only God Could Stop Me Loving You" which was written by Shania Twain's Husband at the time Robert John Mutt Lange. I have to say, I respect Shania for not recording that herself on one of her albums, after Lyric Street stupidly failed to release it as a single for Lari. "You Can't Take That From Me" man so powerful, another signature song. This album had blockbuster written all over it and frankly Lyric Street was too busy pumping up the Dixie Chicks at the time to promote Lari like they should have. I know she became pregnant with her second child just as she was about to go back out on tour, but this is one of the best albums I have ever heard in my life, and it deserved significantly better promotion and attention that it ultimately received. No excuses.

Loved this woman, I mean I loved her so very much! Easily the most underrated Country singer ever. Most underrated recording artist ever. Most amazing voice in the entire industry. Nobody else had such range. Every single album she ever had was more than good enough to be a Multi-Platinum seller. She just never got that kind of push, or they easily could have been. Both her 1996 and 1998 albums were phenomenal, but very poorly marketed. Few people knew about them. So many awesome songs left unreleased. A server lack of Music videos didn't help either. Thee Most Beautiful Woman in Country music in the 90's I felt, even over Shania Twain. Lari White should have been at least as Big as Faith Hill, but never got that sort of push. Still Lari won 3 Grammys and that's damn impressive, even with lousy support from country radio. She was never a favorite of Radio programmers who apparently knew nothing and cared less about great talent.
